flowers for sunday worship
We invite our congregation to donate flowers which will adorn the Sanctuary chancel on Sunday mornings. Many people find it comforting to donate on a particular Sunday in memory of a loved one, celebration of an anniversary, or other special occasion. The cost is $300. To sponsor the organ, the cost is $75. Flowers are delivered to homebound and ill members later in the week. Orders should be made at least one week in advance through the church office: 626/282-4181.

backpack & school supply drive | friends in deed
we are accepting donations through july 21
This summer, Friends in Deed is accepting donations of school supplies for students and families in need. SMCC will be accepting donations through Friday, July 21.

ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING OFFERING – MORE THAN JUST FISH BANKS!
For over 70 years, One Great Hour of Sharing has provided Presbyterians a way to share God’s love with our neighbors both near and far. Alone we may feel powerless, but united we are strong enough to change the world. The Lord has commanded us to love our neighbors and this is how we do it!
This year our One Great Hour of Sharing Offering will be allocated to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA), the emergency and refugee program of the Presbyterian Church USA focusing on the long-term recovery of disaster impacted communities. PDA enables our congregation to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic events, both natural and human-caused. Out of chaos comes hope!
care kits
Instead of the usual cards and gifts we give to those we hold dear, SMCC is again offering the opportunity to donate funds for Care Kits in your loved one’s name. A donation of just $10 covers the cost of a Care Kit that includes hygiene essentials, toiletries, mylar blanket, socks, snacks and other useful items.
