The San Marino Community Church Worship Committee met on Wednesday, March 9, 2022
to evaluate the latest guidelines from the CDC, LA County, The City of San Marino
and San Marino School District to determine the best path forward for our masking policies.
For those who choose to join our services in person:
- Effective Sunday, April 3, 2022, SMCC strongly recommends that those in worship wear masks, but will not require a mask for entry of the Sanctuary or Fellowship Hall.*
- All SMCC clergy, staff, and choir members will still be masked indoors in compliance with the strong recommendation.
- If you are feeling the least bit unwell, we ask that you please JOIN US ONLINE for Worship Service this week. As we have throughout the pandemic, we will be live-streaming both of our services so that all can gather in worship safely, even if you are not comfortable joining us in person.
Throughout the pandemic, SMCC has remained committed to doing what is necessary
to protect the vulnerable within our community, such as children too young to be vaccinated,
or worshippers who are immunocompromised or undergoing health treatments.
We desire that all people would feel welcome and safe to attend worship in person.
As you make personal decisions regarding masking protocols,
we ask you to also consider the communal implications of your decisions.
*As always, protocols are subject to change based on recommendations from the CDC and guidelines established by Los Angeles County.
We will continue to meet to weekly to determine the best path forward in protecting the vulnerable within our community. Weekly COVID protocol updates are provided in our weekly emails on Fridays. We encourage you to stay informed by getting on the email list - please contact Eva Farrar.
