We are so glad you're here.

First time visitor?

Here is some helpful information to help you

feel more comfortable walking into this new place!

What are your service options?

We offer three different Sunday worship experiences. The first two are live-streamed online and archived to assist you in worshipping whenever is most convenient for you.

  • Our Traditional Worship takes place in the Sanctuary at 9:00 A.M. on Sundays. If you enjoy choral music, hymns, orchestral arrangements, and liturgical reflections, in a sacred environment, this is the service for you!  Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month.
  • Our Contemporary Worship takes place in Fellowship Hall at 10:00 A.M. on Sundays. If you enjoy worship songs, a live band, and artistic expression in a more relaxed environment, this is the service for you!  Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month.
  • Our Sunday Suppers gatherings take place on the first Sunday of most months, from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. in Fellowship Hall. We begin each month by sharing a family-style meal together, before participating in worship, conversation, and prayer. If you’re looking for an opportunity to connect more deeply in community, with opportunities for all ages, this is the gathering for you.

I have kids. How can they participate in worship?

We offer Children’s Spiritual Formation opportunities for children entering Kindergarten through 5th grade during each of our Sunday morning services. Children will check in before worship in the courtyard, receive their "paper sheep," and go sit with their families in either worship service. They will be dismissed from worship, met by a youth shepherd or staff member, take a moment to wash their hands in the restrooms, and be guided to the upstairs Tree House classroom. To avoid enclosed space gatherings in the upstairs hallways, children are to be picked up in the outdoor courtyard following worship. (On the first Sunday of each month, children rejoin worship to partake in Communion with their families.) Parents, we ask you to register your child for each new season by filling out a 2022-2023 Participation Form.

On Sunday nights, children and youth have the option of staying with their grown ups or sitting at designated tables for children and youth.

What about childcare for younger siblings?

Childcare is offered at both the 9:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. services! From 8:45 A.M. on parents can check in their infants, and pre-schoolers at the Children’s Welcome Table in the courtyard and then bring them to their age-appropriate classroom in the Lower Courtyard. Children should be picked up from their classrooms immediately after the service, 11:15 A.M. latest. Parents, we ask you to register your child by filling out a 2022-2023 Participation FormQuestions? Please contact Natalie MacMillan.

Where should I park?

As you drive down Virginia Road from Huntington, you can park in the Valentine Elementary lot immediately on your left, or drive past the church to park in the church parking lot on your left. You can also park on Virginia Road or Roanoke.

I have a disability. Will your facility be easy for me to navigate?

It is our deep desire that it will be! We hold reserved parking on Virginia Road in front of the church, which leads to a low sloping pathway as you walk toward the sanctuary. If you feel like you need additional assistance, we have people stationed at our Welcome and Information Booth, as well as ushers near the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall who will be happy to help you.

Do I have to wear something in particular?

Absolutely not. Our Traditional service tends to be more formal, with many people wearing sport coats or dresses, but not everyone. Our Contemporary and Second Sunday services tend to be more casual, with people wearing anything from button down shirts and slacks to jeans and sweaters. There is no dress code—we hope you will wear whatever makes you feel like you.

I found your website because I want to get married. Do I have to be a member of your church to be married at your facility?

Please feel free to give our office a call so that we can walk alongside you during this exciting time in your life! For information, see our Weddings, Memorials & Baptism page.
